How to cancel your subscription
Go to Billing in your Stable Dashboard and select Cancel subscription.
If you have an active registered agent, you'll see a note that canceling your subscription doesn't cancel your registered agent service — that's handled separately (see the registered agent section below).
Select a reason for canceling and, if you'd like, leave feedback.
Depending on your plan, you may be offered alternatives to canceling.
If you continue canceling, you'll see a final confirmation screen showing whether you'll lose access immediately or keep it until the end of your billing cycle, and the refund amount (if any).
Select Cancel my subscription to confirm.
You'll receive a confirmation email once your cancellation is processed.
Refund policy (30-day money-back guarantee)
Whether you're eligible for a refund depends on how long it's been since your first invoice:
Timing | Refund | Access |
Within 30 days of your first invoice | Full refund | Ends immediately |
More than 30 days after your first invoice | No refund | Continues until the end of your current billing cycle |
A few specifics on what's included:
The refund covers your base subscription and one seat billed on your first invoice. Other products and add-ons — such as check deposits, registered agent service, or mail forwarding — aren't covered by this refund.
If a discount applied to your first invoice, you're refunded the discounted amount you actually paid, not the full list price.
This guarantee applies to your first invoice only. It's meant to cover cancellations shortly after signing up, not later billing cycles.
What happens to your mail after you cancel
If we receive mail at your mailbox after you cancel, we'll send you an email notification.
You won't be able to take action on mail — scan, forward, or deposit — unless you reactivate your account. We don't forward mail for canceled accounts.
Before you cancel, it's worth updating your business address with any vendors or entities you work with, and canceling any USPS Change of Address that forwards mail to your Stable address.
Stable is a commercial mail receiving address, not a standard mailing address, so mail can't be forwarded from it once your account is inactive.
Registered agent service
Canceling your subscription doesn't automatically cancel your registered agent service if you have one — you'll need to take action separately to stay compliant with your state's requirements. Once your subscription cancellation takes effect, your registered agent service and associated locations are marked inactive.
Reactivating after cancellation
If you'd like to reactivate a canceled account, reach out to support at [email protected]. You can keep your existing mailbox number, and any mail we received while your account was inactive will become available again once you're reactivated.
